The PowerCal for Android User Guide

PowerCal can display events from all the calendars you have on your device including Google, Exchange, and local calendars.
It offers several fully customisable views, including:
  • Day View
    ◦ Day long tap menu
    ◦ Event long tap menu
  • Week View
    ◦ Set start day
    ◦ Vertical or horizontal layout
    ◦ Day long tap menu
    ◦ Event long tap menu
    ◦ Scroll vertically within a row to see more detail
  • Month View
    ◦ Set start day
    ◦ Day long tap menu
    ◦ Event long tap menu
    ◦ Scroll vertically within a row to see more detail
    ◦ Tap the month at the top of the view to display the month / year selector. Make your selection and tap Select to view it
    ◦ Month navigation bar
    Tap a month within the month bar to instantly go to it
    Tap the year within the month bar to display a month / year selector. Make your selection and tap Select to view it

    NOTE To navigate simply swipe left and right to go to the next or previous day, week or month.

Full timezone support, events in other timezones are shown in your calendar view in the timezone specific time. If you are in London and have an event in New York at 4pm, it will show in your calendar view at 4pm. Once in New York, a London based event at 1pm will appear in your view at 1pm.

Within each view you can long tap on a day or event for context sensitive options:
  • Event Long Tap Menu
    ◦ Cut (can then be pasted to another date with the Day long tap menu)
    ◦ Copy (a copy cam then be pasted to another date with the Day long tap menu)
    ◦ Duplicate...
    ◦ Today
    ◦ Tomorrow
    ◦ In 1 Week
    ◦ Delete Event
    ◦ View Location (available when event has a location)
    ◦ Route To Location (available when event has a location)
    ◦ Use Links From Notes...
    ◦ Sub menu with a list of url's, email addresses and phone numbers that were detected in the event notes
    ◦ Delete Event
  • Day Long Tap Menu
    ◦ Paste Copy Of Event
    ◦ Paste Cut Event
    ◦ Add Event
    ◦ Set Color
    ◦ Copy Color
    ◦ Paste Color

The Settings within the app can be accessed by tapping the gear icon in the toolbar, and each view can be customised as per the following:
    ◦ Title font size
    ◦ Event font size
    ◦ Colors, set the weekend color, older day color, today color and also the app background color
    ◦ Maximum number of lines to display per event (useful to limit the display of events with long notes)
Show or hide icons that represent:
    ◦ Birthdays
    ◦ Alerts
    ◦ Repeating events
And much more!
