Ok, can you connect your iPhone to your mac or PC and then:
Open iTunes and selected your iPhone from the menu
Tap the option to see the apps installed
Find the myCal app, there should be a startup.log file
Copy the file to your mac or PC, and then email it

Apologies for this! I'll get to the bottom of it though.

Another thought, can you try the following as well please:

Go into the Settings app
Tap Privacy, then Calendars
Set myCal PRO to Off
Go back 1 level then tap Contacts
Set myCal PRO to Off as well

This will remove the access rights from myCal. If myCal can then load and not crash it means 1 or more events is causing it to crash. If it still crashes, I would suggest deleting and reinstalling to return the configuration back to default. Either way it will help point me in the right direction.

I have the same problem of program exiting with Apple app 'Numbers'. Could there be an apple app problem that manifests itself via a common issue? A cloud issue, perhaps?

Interesting idea, I haven't heard of any issues like that recently. There was the big issue last year (I think) with some app downloads from the AppStore having issues, but that was quite wide spread so the dev community would have heard something if it was happening again.

Just as a thought, could you try deleting the app completely and reinstalling?

Also, if I could get you on my beta team I could send you dev builds directly, that should help my diagnose the problem quicker. Let me know if that might be an option!
