Postby cdoran » Tue Dec 17, 2013 1:08 am

Hi All,
I have been using myCal for months and love it yet today when i went into myCal there is nothing in there i have lost all my events there are no events anywhere and i keep getting the message "no writable calendars found". When I go into how to add or edit calendars it is locked and will not let me in. Please help my whole life meetings, events, appointments etc. were on there. Can I get them back?

Hi there!
I've heard of this happening on iCloud calendars. Don't worry your events should still all be on the cloud. To check you can login to iCloud.com with your Apple ID.
Have you recently upgraded to iOS 7?
Can you double check your iCloud credentials, it's worth logging out of iCloud then back in again (Settings, iCloud, Delete Account)
Don't worry that just deletes the iCloud account from the device, not from iCloud itself. Then log back into iCloud.

Let me know how you get on!

Hi John,

Thankyou so much for your reply. My son had for some unknown reason turned off iCloud in settings. All is good :D

Super, thank you for letting me know!

Thinking about it though, I could definitely make the error message less scary and say something like 'Please check that iCloud is enabled and that the user credentials are correct'.

Cheers
John
