When I edit certain entries that show up as events (even though I enter every entry the same way) I have to turn off my phone or iPad to get out of the edit screen. WHY?

That sounds like a bug, are they read only events that it is allowing you to edit?
What kind of calendar do the events belong to?
Can you email me you log:
  • Tap the Info icon
  • Tap Email log to support
