My new version 1.9.24 is with Apple now, waiting to be approved.
Review and approval time varies but I expect it'll be about a week from now before they release it.

Hi Rick,
Just a heads up, Apple has released version 1.9.24 which resolves the app badge issue in iOS8.

Just a heads up, Apple has released version 1.9.24 which resolves the app badge issue in iOS8.
- Install the update
- Run myCal
- Tap the Settings icon in the toolbar
- Tap General
- If Day in app icon is ON, switch it OFF then ON again. myCal will ask you for permission to set the badge, grant it and save the Settings
