Can you please tell me when the update that fixes this will be available to download from the App Store?

My new version 1.9.24 is with Apple now, waiting to be approved.
Review and approval time varies but I expect it'll be about a week from now before they release it.

Hi Rick,
Just a heads up, Apple has released version 1.9.24 which resolves the app badge issue in iOS8.

Install the update
Run myCal
Tap the Settings icon in the toolbar
Tap General
If Day in app icon is ON, switch it OFF then ON again. myCal will ask you for permission to set the badge, grant it and save the Settings

Let me know how you get on!
