Hi there,
That's odd, iOS is supposed to queue up timed actions like this, and if the device is off when it is due to occur it is supposed to run through the queue for any items that need to be updated. I'll test this shortly and get back to you.

I must admit I didn't get around to testing this! My apologies, I'll try to do so this evening and see what's going on.

Well that's a surprise, I would expect iOS to have queued up the badge icon change and update it when the device was turned back on, but it didn't.

Any reason why you can't put your device into Airplane Mode instead of switching off over night?

Just did some more research, apparently this behaviour is 'by design by Apple'. I dont actually agree with how they handle these badge updates it but there you go.
The common reasoning is, that iPhones are supposed to always be on, and that if you want to be non contactable you go into flight mode.

Sorry, but there isn't much I can do about this.

John
