The year with readable events is great and distinguishes eventium against competitors.

However, the year view readability on iPads would be very much improved if users could zoom-in via the usual two-fingers gesture. Can we expect this in an update in the near future?

Yes, a pinch to zoom feature is on the roadmap and is a natural progression for the year view, and the other views too in fact.
When though is a question, I'm working on my next major release right now but I can say it is on my list of future enhancements.
