Just an update on this, the configurable background colour options are now available via:
Settings, General, Colors

Also in the latest release I finally added the List View, which is free for all PRO customers.

The vertical scrolling month view, I've been thinking about for some time now. I still have a few smaller enhancements/improvements to do, but hopefully it wont take too long now.
