Time Zone Issue

Postby alans » Fri Nov 08, 2013 5:44 am

I commute from Omaha to Laguna Beach Ca every two weeks. California time is 2 hours behind Omaha (Central Time US)

If I am in Omaha and input an 12 noon appointment for a California Event it will show up on my calendar at 12 noon as long as I am in the Central time zone.
If I travel to California and the time on my Apple Iphone changes from central time to pacific time the California Event will display 10AM

My only work around is to keep the Iphone on the central time zone regardless of where I am.

How can I freeze the time at 12 noon regardless of where I am and regardless of the time zone?

Hi there,
Hmm, interesting problem. Can you tell me what behaviour you see from the standard calendar app when you change timezones?

Ok, I believe I have replicated it and I have seen the behavior of the standard calendar app so will look at this over the weekend. I should be able to fix this in the next release, although.

Apologies for the inconvenience!

Regards
John

thank you for the reply..
When I use the standard Apple IPhone Calendar the appointment time is "frozen" regardless of time zone. I would much prefer to use MyCal if there is a way of solving that important issue..
